Commercial Construction

As a licensed general contractor working throughout the southeastern United States and the Caribbean, USCC's focus is the retail environment.  We work with customers ranging from Fortune 500 companies to independent, local businesses, providing complete turnkey projects.

USCC specializes in retail space constructions with projects such as:

  • Open store remodels
  • Nationwide roll-out installations
  • Coordination and installation of retail store millwork
  • Flat wire electrical and data planning and installation
  • WIFI device installation
  • Interior and exterior rebranding
  • Carpet and paint refresh projects

USCC creates and utilizes CAD-generated layouts at the beginning of each construction project.  Actual sized templates, denoting all walls, electrical/data outlets, light fixtures, retail fixtures and associated floor power, is easily accessed and referenced throughout the project to ensure consistency, accuracy and efficiency.

Our proficient use of various technology tools enables communication between staff, project managers, working foreman and vendors to proactively address activities and project tasks, as well as immediately resolve impending challenges with the architects and engineers.  By completing this process on the front end, it allows for a faster turnover to the subcontractors and ultimately resolves challenges later in the construction process.

Project Management

USCC is a multi-faceted small business company, with a vital focus on customer service from the start of a project through turnover of a completed project. A part of our success in this area is our ability to work with our customers to:

  • Review project scope, including resources and timeline
  • Determine budget pricing and material lists
  • Review possible areas of concern
  • Schedule, as needed, pre-bid meetings to review plans for any discrepancies and/or errors
  • Schedule pre-construction site surveys
  • Devise checklist(s) to ensure all related plans are reconciled with any interior build-out and all work letter criteria
  • Develop and apply value engineering to expedite construction timelines
  • Actively participate in post-construction/project meetings to revise project methods, as needed

Special Projects:  Graphic installations

USCC began installation of banner graphics at the request of our customers in 2001. This work has grown to include multiple national roll-out projects for:

  • Barricade signage
  • Hanging Signage
  • Window graphic installations
  • Wall graphic installations

USCC installers complete a full site survey of the installation site to capture dimensions of all storefront glass and building obstructions, take detailed photos of the building and create a layout of the store for the graphic producer.  All files are retained indefinitely for future reference and installation for our customers.

Our personnel are available to assist with the initial project planning, site survey of the space and final onsite installation.

Millwork Installation

Since its inception, USCC has provided retail millwork installation to its customers.  These services have included multiple national roll-outs with fixtures, cabinetry, free-standing tables and other crafted elements for new retail stores, as well as retrofitted projects in smaller markets. USCC employs the same exacting standards for millwork installation as for its other services.  Installation is a critical phase of any project and requires onsite coordination with contractors, electricians and other trades.  We ensure that the millwork is seamlessly integrated into the rest of the project with minimal disruption to other onsite workers, in a manner which is prompt, efficient and professional.

Each stage of the installation is professionally overseen by a USCC project manager to ensure that the installation aligns with the customer's concept. The entire project is documented and retained and easily accessible for our customer's future reference.

Work Orders

Our website, uscommconstruction.com, simplifies the order processes by allowing customers to submit general work order requests, provide project feedback and document ongoing activities. USCC has developed and uses a proprietary application, which captures data on projects, customers, work orders, and site information. The database is maintained daily in order to track progress, expenses and resource allocations. The data is privacy-protected and securely backed-up on dedicated servers.
